Our CEO, Aaron Lee, is being appointed to be one of the judges for Startup Weekends Event held in Malaysia. It’s a 54-hour event where marketers, developers, product managers, designers, and startup enthusiast gathered in one place and share some ideas and experience.

Aaron Lee

Lee Chin Wee, Aaron is the co-founder of iSentric Sdn Bhd, and he is the CEO in-charged on overseeing, managing the company’s progress and ensuring overall profitability. Since establishing the company in 2003, Aaron’s relentless drive and innovative thinking has brought the company to new heights as witness by the numerous awards, accolades and product recognitions bestowed upon iSentric such as SME Recognition Award, MSC Malaysia APICTA award,Deloitte Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific Award, Golden Bull award and MCBC Business Excellence Award and Enterprise 50 Award. In year 2009, Aaron has been named one of the top nominees of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of Malaysia award under the category of Emerging Entrepreneur.

Prior to striking out on his own as an entrepreneur, Aaron cut his teeth in the IT industry by working as a consultant in Accenture, a worldwide consulting group.

Aaron is a veteran of 12 projects, 4 of which he was the team lead. His specialty in telco billing systems and revenue assurance methodology has provided long lasting value-add to his clients’ long term competitiveness and operational excellence. Clients in which he has served include Maxis, Celcom, TimeDotCom and TimeCel.

Spurred by the positive growth reports coming out of the industries, Aaron took the plunge and setup iSentric with his partner Roy Ng in the year 2003. Roy Ng is his ex-colleague in Accenture. iSentric Sdn Bhd is a Mobile Business Solution Provider that focuses on providing mobility solutions to corporate customers which includes Banks, Financial Institutions, Enterprise and Media clients. iSentric’s mobility solutions help clients identify business opportunities and enables businesses to extend their applications and information to any wireless device.

Apart from being an expertise in mobile business solution areas, we are pleased to announce that iSentric has been supporting and sponsoring a project of “Entrepreneurship & Youth – A Learning Network which provided by AISEC, the world’s largest international student-run organization.

The EYLN 2011 is hoped to develop entrepreneurship skills in youth and raise their awareness towards social responsibilities which in turn creating a positive impact towards the society.

The project which held in Klang Valley area and participated by 250 youngsters locally and internationally, included activities such as workshop, road show and conference of which iSentric sponsored 20,000 SMS credit for the promotions and also a competition where we were participated as being one of the judges.

iSentric Raise Its Hand and Stop Child Abuse with UNICEF, Malaysia

As part of the society, we hereby announce that iSentric is supporting UNICEF Malaysia’s “Get on Board” campaign which aimed to stop child abuse in Malaysia.

Through iSentric Mobile Campaign and Donation service, public can send in SMS to 36188 with supporter’s name, email address, IC and specific keywords. Supporters can “Get on Board” by receiving all kind of information to prevent child abuse. For every SMS sent with format “Donate to 36188”, supporters shall be charged RM5 and iSentric has committed to donate every penny to UNICEF Malaysia.

CEO of iSentric, Mr Aaron Lee has been named one of the top nominees of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the year 2009 Malaysia award under the category of Emerging Entrepreneur.The Top Nominees were selected by a distinguished independent panel of judges.The EOY Award Night was held on 15th December 2009 at JW Marriott Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

iSentric on Mobile Content Challenge 2009

MAXIS Communications Berhad launched the Mobile Content Challenge for the third year running last Tuesday.

MCC 2009 – a collaboration between the company, the Information, Communications and Culture Ministry and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) – is a contest in which students from institutes of higher learning build content and applications on the mobile platform.

Students with the most innovative content concepts will get the chance to create prototypes and commercially launch their winning applications with assistance from Maxis’ panel of content developer partners.
